| What
will happen will be annoying letters and phone calls
from the casino itself, then dunning letters from
lawyers in his area, then perhaps a few phone calls
from people who repre-sent the casino asking him
to pay his debts and pointing out that, after all,
the casino is owed money the man was given to play
with in the first place, and it's a legitimate,
if not exactly a legal, debt.
But no one will say "pay or else!" That's
not done in these days of corporately controlled
casinos. What most gamblers who can't pay their
debts at once find is that the casino will allow
them to make time payments, and as long as these
are 4Pt up to date, the casino may even extend some
credit to the player.
That's what happens in most cases. The gambler makes
time Payments to the casino in the same manner as
if he were Paying off his car, and while he's making
these payments, 4'll be allowed a certain amount
of credit at the casino and thus will have action.
Most gamblers want that action, single important
fact is the reason that gamblers pay debts.
And even if a gambler ignores the casino's letters
and calls and never pays a cent for years then suddenly
some money and repays the debt, the casino will
not any unfavorable judgment. The player can have
credit the next day. |
